Last week Matthew Paul Turner posted the trailer for an upcoming film called "Sarah's Choice." It stars Christian singer Rebecca St. James as a woman who unexpectantly becomes pregnant and tries to decide whether or not to keep the baby.
I think it's safe to assume that this movie will not be a masterpiece. Like most Christian movies, "Sarah's Choice" looks like it's more about the message than art. Although St. James is a great singer, most of her career is defined by telling kids not to have sex. The movie also stars comedian Brad Stine, whose shtick is basically "Look at me, I'm a conservative Christian! In your face, liberals!" But the movie does have Dick Van Patten as the wise Pastor who eventually inspires our hero to make the right choice. Hey, don't hate on Van Patten!
If you liked "Facing the Giants" and "Fireproof," I'm sure you'll like this movie. I just hope "Sarah's Choice" doesn't come with a 40-Day Challenge!
